Soreti facilitated our first Pathways event, which gathered our community and partners together to understand how we can better support pathways into and out of civic tech
Hello ,
Welcome to your October Edition of the Code for Australia newsletter.
Well, against our plans September turned out to be a fairly busy one for us! Here's what's been happening for our team and some things you might want to know about or get involved with.
Our biggest news, and saddest news, is that Soreti recently stepped down as our Head of Delivery. Despite being with us for a short time, Soreti has left a lasting legacy of compassion, honest conversations and insight and we're going to miss her enormously. We'll be cheering loudly for her success in whatever comes next.
Before she wrapped up with us, however, Soreti launched and facilitated our first
Pathways event. Read more about what that is here.
We're excited to be running custom versions of our incredible workshops Tech for Non Tech and The Intelligence Service with forward-thinking teams across Victorian government this month.
We love tailoring our content to help unblock sticky challenges with teams of all sizes, so if you need a bit of creative thinking
before the year is out, reach out and have a chat with us!
For more inspiration, news and opportunities from the world of civic tech, read on. Until next time, thanks for being part of our community!

Achievements

The eCertificate pilot which the Fellows built has been running for about a year, and has been receiving great feedback from the users. Plus, 20,000 roadworthy certificates have been created using the system!
We also want to celebrate the work recent Fellows, Kate and Damian,
who amongst many things, helped DigitalNSW build out a "Rules as Code" prototype. The below feedback says it all really:
